Printing Process

Original art is photographed by Photographer Greg Staley (Silver Spring, MD), who creates a color transparency of the artwork, which I laser scan and digitally correct/enhance, and individually print.

Archival Materials
Archival means that the image will not fade or yellow over time. Specifically, I use special pigmented-based inks and acid free fine art paper. Most inks and pigments will react naturally to UV light, air-borne ozone, or acid materials in the paper, and this may result in the image becoming faded or the paper becoming yellow over time. (Some lower quality materials will have noticeable fading in 2-3 years). The combination of inks and paper that I use has been independently researched to last over 100 years.
